The work the RESULTS chapters around the world have done to champion the cause of microcredit for the poor will go down in history books as one of the major contributing factors to the elimination of poverty.

What has RESULTS in the UK achieved on microfinance?
2006/07 proved to be particularly exciting and successful years for RESULTS in its longstanding mission to generate greater political awareness and commitment for microfinance.
In June 2006 MPs selected RESULTS as the new Secretariat of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Microfinance/Microcredit (APPG). This endorsement is testament to RESULTS’ ongoing work as one of the few NGOs to champion microfinance as a leading development tool. Becoming Secretariat of the APPG has enabled RESULTS to significantly scale-up its Parliamentary work on the issue, organising a number of very well attended meetings with expert speakers and tabling a number of pertinent questions and Motions in the House.
RESULTS has also organised parliamentary delegations to visit Microfinance programmes in developing countries, including a visit to the world renowned ‘Jamii Bora’ programme in Kenya.
